Safety First

We take safety seriously. Every unit is sanitised and inspected after each hire, so it’s clean and ready for use. Please read these guidelines so everyone has a fun and injury-free day.

The Rules — Please Read Before Use

Always Do

  • Adult supervision at all times
  • Always ensure to pack away or secure the inflatable in a safe, dry location when not in use or keeping overnight.
  • Absolutely ensure no pets, toys, food or sharp instruments beneath or on the inflatable at any time. Any damage to the inflatable from failure to follow this rule will incur a damage penalty.
  • Ensure that blower pump and electric connections stay dry at all times. In the event of rain the inflatable must be deflated. Using the inflatable during rain or storm is unsafe and NOT permitted, since it can cause damage or injury.
  • Remove shoes before entering
  • Keep the number of users to the recommended maximum
  • Ensure the inflatable stays securely anchored throughout use (ground anchors/pegs are not supplied by us)
  • Keep blower running while castle is in use and close the hosepipe and blower when not in use
  • Ensure that children don’t play or come near the blower when the power is on.
  • Castles must be DEFLATED DURING HEAVY WINDS OR STORMS to prevent danger to persons and damage to equipment. Damage occurring because the jumping castle was not deflated (and packed away) — the responsibility of safe use of equipment lies with the hirer.

Never Do

  • No flips, somersaults, or rough play
  • No food, drinks, or chewing gum inside
  • No sharp objects, jewellery, or glasses inside
  • No overcrowding — follow the user limit
  • No use in high winds (>40 km/h) or lightning
  • No toddlers mixed with large children unsupervised
  • Absolutely NO SMOKING on or around the inflatable at any time.
  • The unit MUST NEVER be dragged over or set up on rough surfaces (e.g. asphalt, concrete, gravel, or any other rough surface). You MUST check the area where the castle is to be set up beforehand. Anything that could puncture or damage the inflatable MUST be removed from the area. Failure to follow this rule will result in damage to the unit and a damage penalty will be incurred.
  • Individuals with head, neck, back or other muscular-skeletal injuries or disabilities, pregnant women, small infants and others who may be susceptible to injury from falls, bumps or bouncing are not permitted in the inflatable unit at any time.

Age & Size

  • Each unit has an age recommendation — check the product page
  • Mix age groups only when sizes are similar
  • Maximum weight per user: 80 kg (unless stated otherwise)
  • Toddler units: mainly for ages 1–5 only
  • Combo units: separate younger kids from older kids for their own safety
  • No adults are permitted on the inflatables unless designed and advertised as such. (Please respect our equipment and enjoy responsibly so that others may too!)

Adult Supervision

An adult (18+) must be present and actively supervising whenever children are using the inflatable. This means eyes on the castle at all times — not watching from inside the house.

Weather Guidelines

Johannesburg summers bring sudden thunderstorms. Our weather policy keeps everyone safe.

Clear Conditions

Normal use. Keep the blower running and follow all rules as usual.

Light Rain

Wet units can continue. Dry castles — deflate if the surface becomes slippery. Supervise extra carefully.

Strong Wind or Lightning

Deflate immediately and remove all children. Remove the blower motor and all electrical cables from the rain immediately. Do not re-inflate until conditions are safe. Wind >40 km/h is a hard stop.

Weather cancellations are rescheduled at no penalty. See our Cancellation Policy.
