Terms & Conditions

By making a booking with Jumping Jacks you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your hire / rental.

Last updated: May 2026

1. Booking & Confirmation

During peak season (e.g. Christmas) a booking is only confirmed once a 25% non-refundable deposit has been received via EFT or with booking multiple castles and a written confirmation has been issued by Jumping Jacks (via WhatsApp or email). Verbal agreements or enquiries do not constitute a confirmed booking. During off-peak season payments must be made before hiring/renting the castle.

2. Payment

During peak season the remaining 75% balance is due 48 hours before the hire date via EFT. Our bank details are provided in the booking confirmation email. If the balance is not received by the due date, Jumping Jacks reserves the right to cancel the booking and re-allocate the date.

3. Cancellation & Refunds

See our full Cancellation Policy. In summary:

  • More than 7 days notice: deposit refunded or free reschedule.
  • 2–7 days notice: deposit forfeited; no balance charge.
  • Less than 48 hours: deposit forfeited; a call-out fee may apply.
  • Weather cancellation: reschedule at no penalty to either party.

4. Supervision & Responsibility

The hirer (the person who makes the booking) is responsible for ensuring that:

  • An adult (18+) supervises the inflatable at all times during use.
  • All safety rules communicated are followed.
  • The maximum number of users and weight limits are not exceeded.
  • The inflatable is deflated immediately in unsafe weather conditions.

Jumping Jacks accepts no liability for injuries or accidents arising from failure to supervise or follow safety rules.

5. Damages

The hirer is responsible for any damage to the inflatable or equipment that occurs during the hire period and is not the result of fair wear and tear. This includes but is not limited to: tears from sharp objects, burn damage, vandalism, or damage caused by exceeding weight limits. The cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the hirer. Jumping Jacks will provide photographic evidence of any damage prior to invoicing.

The hirer is responsible for the proper care and usage of all equipment. Any damage caused due to misuse or negligence will be charged to the hirer. If damage is found within seven (7) days of the booking, the customer will be held liable for the full cost of repairs.

The customer/organisation agrees to pay in full the replacement cost, including labour, for all damage to rental equipment.

The hirer/customer will be liable for any damage or theft of the equipment whilst in their care. All damage incurred to any hired equipment, inflatables, or motor while in possession of the hirer will be payable by the hirer unless mutually agreed upon in writing by both parties.

The equipment will remain the responsibility of the customer until it has been returned and checked by Jumping Jacks. It is therefore asked that the equipment is not left outside overnight.

6. Setup Requirements

The hirer is responsible for ensuring the setup area meets the requirements specified on our Delivery/ Collection page (flat level surface, 1 m clearance, 15A power within 25 m, 1 m gate access). If setup is not possible on arrival with delivery due to the hirer’s failure to prepare the site, the booking fee is forfeited.

7. Equipment

All equipment remains the property of Jumping Jacks at all times. The hirer may not move, transport, lend, or sublet any equipment. Equipment must be accessible for collection at the agreed time.

8. Weather

Jumping Jacks will make reasonable effort to deliver and set up in light rain if requested. In the event of severe weather (high winds, lightning, sustained heavy rain), Jumping Jacks reserves the right to postpone or cancel the delivery for safety reasons. In such cases, a full reschedule will be offered at no additional charge.

9. Limitation of Liability

Jumping Jacks’ liability in all circumstances is limited to the value of the hire fee paid. Jumping Jacks is not liable for any consequential, indirect, or third-party losses arising from the hire. Jumping Jacks will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage to any person or property during the hire period.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Jumping Jacks, its managers, directors, employees, agents, and third parties for any costs, losses, expenses (including attorneys’ fees), and liabilities regarding or arising out of your enjoyment of or inability to enjoy the hire or its services, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any rights of third parties, or your negligence.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the Gauteng courts.
